DNA collects mutations and its information is degraded. Others indicate that it was because of the mitochondria’s DNA, lacking the repair mechanisms accessible for the chromosomes. Another theory involves stem cells, which eventually grow weak with age.
Furthermore, the statement that people replace every cell in the body every seven or ten years is incorrect. Research has confirmed that every type of tissue in the body replaces cells at different rates, while others never replace cells at all.
